The special format TANDEM was conceived not least as an audio format with a still image on our YouTube channel, so that even in times of pandemic a wider audience can see and enjoy the works - quite independently of the guidelines that might then apply. The format is intentionally designed as a literary, counterpoint to the fast, flickering imagery of social media. The international project Die KUNST ist ToT ∞ brings together art, literature and audio contributions by artists from Brazil, Germany, Austria, Poland, Romania, Russia, Switzerland and Hungary.

In Berlin, we are in a very dynamic pandemic situation and therefore have to continuously adapt the exhibition and event conditions to the current situation. Please refer to our website for the latest valid hygiene protection measures, which we update on an ongoing basis. At present, the event can be visited under the so-called 3G rule and we ask you to have the necessary documents ready. Of course, the applicable hygiene regulations and contact restrictions will be observed. We also want to use digital means to make access to the event safe and secure for everyone. For this purpose, we will provide the QR code of the Corona Warn app and additionally display contact forms.

We ask for pre-registration via e-Mail since only a limited number of people can be present at the same time. The individual contributions to TANDEM - Literature and Visual Arts in Dialogue can then be heard and seen on our YouTube channel from 9.10.2021 on.

Based on the biological phenomenon of the emergency bloom, the photo installation "als ob / as if" deals with the strategy of overcompensation as a reaction to a threat, the attempt to compensate for a lack through exaggeration and oppulence.
